Within our TLC services, we have been working hard with the four South Yorkshire councils on a new pilot scheme called 'Be Well@Work'. This is a joint initiative by the local Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster & Sheffield councils, to support health and wellbeing in the workplace throughout the region and we are proud to announce we have now achieved this award.
The award requires a company to go through quite a stringent process, which includes a health & safety inspection by one of the local authority assessors, evidence of all health & wellbeing related policies and procedures to be checked and meetings to be held with several staff to confirm we do what we say we do to support them. Information relating to all sorts of topics, including healthy eating, exercise, help to stop smoking, alcohol awareness, mental health, specific medical conditions and more, can be found on boards and tables throughout all of our offices across the organisation. The wellbeing of our employees is really important to us and this award follows on from the National Wellbeing Charter Award which we have achieved over recent years across the Optimo Care Group.
